TASK ORDER NO. 13
CONSULTING SERVICES
This Task Order is made and entered into as of the 21 st day of October 2021 by and between
South Tahoe Public Utility District, hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT" and Farr West
Engineering, hereinafter referred to as "CONSULTANT".
In consideration of the mutual promises, covenants, and conditions as addressed in the Master
Agreement dated July 17, 2017, and as specifically hereinafter set forth, the parties do hereby
agree as follows:
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this Task Order No. 13 is to authorize and direct CONSULTANT to
provide Topographic Surveying and Mapping Services to support the design of the
Lookout Tank access road located in the County of El Dorado, California.
2. SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work for these services is contained in CONSULTANT's written proposal
dated October 2021, "Lookout Tank Access Road", and is more specifically outlined
therein by Exhibits A-D. Said written proposal is attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "A",
and incorporated herein by this reference as a part of this Task Order.
3. STAFFING
Keith Karpstein, P.E., Project Manager shall be the responsible person in charge of the
completion of the services performed under this Task Order. CONSULTANT shall not
change staffing without approval by DISTRICT. Any changes shall provide for equivalent
qualifications as far as possible and practical.
4. TIME OF PERFORMANCE
Tasks included in this Task Order shall commence on or about October 21,2021,and will
be completed on or before October 21, 2022, unless otherwise directed by DISTRICT.
5. PAYMENT
Payment to CONSULTANT for services performed under this Task Order No. 13 shall be
as provided in Article IV of the July 17, 2017 Master Agreement and shall not exceed the
amount of Four Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars($4,700.00)unless the scope of work is
changed, and an increase is authorized by DISTRICT.

& LABOR CODE REQUIREMENTS
All State of California prevailing wage laws must be complied with in the performance of
work related to this Task Order. These include, but are not limited to, Labor Code
Sections 1720 through 1860.
7, EFFECTIVE DATE
This Task Order No. 13 will be in effect upon execution by both parties.And shall serve as
Notice to Proceed upon execution by DISTRICT.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this Agreement is executed by the General Manager and Clerk
of the Board of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, and CONSULTANT has caused this
Agreement to be executed the day and year first above written.

Survey Services
INTRODUCTION
Farr West Engineering (Farr West) was requested by the South Tahoe Public Utility District (District) to
prepare a statement of work and fee estimate for survey services to support the design of the Lookout Tank
Access Road.Design services will be provided through a separate task order.
This scope of services includes topographic survey and mapping for the parcel owned by the District on
Lookout Point Circle where the tank and water main exist.The parcel address is 803 Lookout Point Circle.
The phase and task breakdown for the project is designated as follows:
Services to be provided:
• Task 1 —Topographic Survey and Mapping
SERVICES
Task 1—Topographic Survey and Mapping
Topographic Survey — Farr West Engineering will prepare a Topographic Survey. We will prepare the
final drawing showing one - foot Contour intervals with drawing scale of 1" =40'. Farr West will locate
existing conditions including but not be limited to curbs, walks and utility features including water and
sewer,drainage features and structures which are visible from the surface of the ground.These features will
be mapped and shown on the topographic map. We will prepare an ACAD file of the topographic survey
with detail as specified above to STPUD Mapping Standards. The horizontal and vertical control will be
based on published data. Horizontal control will conform to North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83),
and vertical control will conform to North American Vertical Datum of 1988(NAVD 88).Property corners
will be located to assist with mapping of the parcel boundary per record documents.
Mapping—Farr West shall provide mapping of existing improvements, including but not limited to curb
& gutter, sidewalk, driveways, alley ways, valley gutters, pedestrian ramps, landscape walls, affected
trees and connectivity of all surface and subsurface utilities features. Subsurface utilities will indicate
type, existing surface elevation, and depth to feature or pipe invert(s). Mapping shall be provided at a
scale of 1"=20'.All drafting shall conform to STPUD drafting standards.
Assumptions
The following assumptions apply:
0 Property corners exist and can be located in the field.
• District will provide current title report of the parcel.

Other Fees and Charges:
1. All direct project expenses,including subconsultants,will be billed at actual cost plus 15%.
2. An overtime surcharge of 25%will be applied to the hourly rates of non-salaried employees for
authorized overtime work.
3. Different survey and construction inspection labor rates will apply on prevailing wage projects.
Rates for prevailing wage projects will be provided on a case by case basis.
